Our client is an international world leading fully integrated global silicones manufacturer with more than sixty years of silicone expertise, over 3,000 employees, and part of a multibillion USD Group supplying advanced materials. Our client develops, manufactures and sells silicone products into markets including paper release, textile coatings, healthcare, mould making, automotive, aerospace, and personal care.
The position of sales representative will work closely with the commercial team to manage the assigned territory, which includes the development of new customers as well as managing existing accounts. A key aspect of the position is coordinating internal resources through the use of influence skills to drive projects to successful sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling silicones into several markets, including healthcare, release coatings, personal care, construction, electronics and specialty fluids.
A high level of customer contact is required, as well as planning, analysing the market so that proactive stance is taken with accounts
Growth opportunities identified with new and exisiting accounts and new business closed
Sales style will need to be flexible depending on the account around both hunter and farmer approaches
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering and/or relevant experience.
Specialty chemical, technical, or industrial sales experience required. Direct experience with silicones is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
Solid prospecting, technical sales and strong track record of closing new business
Able to build customer loyalty and confidence using a progressive and flexible approach including both hunter and farmer techniques.
Good presentation, oral and written communication skills.
Must demonstrate business acumen, planning and analysis skills.
Must show initiative and be able to set and handle multiple priorities.
Ability to compile and analyze data, together with the understanding of financial and credit principles.
