Job Description

The position of Market Manager, Elastomers will work closely with the leadership team to identify and develop strategies to grow the elastomeric silicone business, and in particular the Sealing & Bonding and Moldmaking product lines.

In addition

  • Responsible for the development, implementation and management of the marketing plans in line with the global silicones business strategy.
  • Focus on construction, automotive, oil & gas and electronics markets and drive the marketing strategies through multi-functional teams
  • To lead the focus of the commercial teams and to work closely with the R&D teams in support of the agreed strategy
  • Lead activities on product line selection, pricing and promotion in line with customer requirements
  • Form and maintain key relationships at major customers, and to gather insight into market movements and trends. Identify opportunities that arise

The position reports directly to the Global Business Director, Elastomers

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field or relevant work experience. MBA is a plus.
  • Business experience in sales, marketing or technical support
  • Knowledge of silicone chemistry and elastomers preferred, but not essential
  • Excellent marketing disciplines including research, analysis, positioning and strategic planning.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communications and influencing skills.
  • Experience of working in a functional and geographic matrix environment. 
  • Strong IT skills including database development and utilization of technology based analytical tools and queries.
